Setcrete – Bulldog

Market-leading manufacturer F. Ball and Co. Ltd., came to us for help launching a brand new product in their hugely successful Setcrete range.

The Setcrete brand, which is aimed at the professional builder and tradesman, features a specialist range of all-purpose construction adhesives and sealants for the trade market.

We knew from the company’s data and our own extensive research that the marketplace was saturated, so something that would capture the attention of builder’s merchants and contractors was needed.

We worked through a list of scientific names for the product but decided that these just didn’t cut it, as we were looking for something that would reflect the brand values of the product; being tough, strong and British!

So what could be better than the British Bulldog? Well, quite frankly, nothing. And, so with this in mind, Secrete Bulldog was born.

Now, having the perfect name, we created everything for a strong, attention-grabbing brand identity. We used a powerful combination of black and yellow to make the packaging stand out and we commissioned a photoshoot with our very own bulldog to bring the brand to life. The results were better than F. Ball expected, with national builders’ merchant, Travis Perkins stocking Bulldog across the country, helping make it a hugely respected adhesive product within just a few months of the launch.
